Determination of ESR( Erythrofcyte sedimentation rate) by wintrobe hematocrite tube

Erythrocyte sedimentation rate

The rate of which RBC is settle out from plasma is the erythrocyte sedimentation rate. The sedimentation rate is measured the suspension stability of erythrocyte. The cells are settle because of their greater density of compared on the plasma.

  • Ø  Special loading pipette
  • Ø  Wooden rack
  • Ø  Blood sample
